Jesus M. Reyna, 80, of South Houston, TX entered his eternal rest on January 20, 2018 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
Jesus was born in La Joya, Texas, on February 2, 1937. At an early age his family moved to Raymondville, TX where he grew up and attended school.
He served in the United States Air Force in Japan from 1954 to 1957. In 1963 he married Margarita Saldana of Lyford, TX in Raymondville. Thereafter, they settled in the city of South Houston, TX where they raised their family of four.

Jesus was born in La Joya, Texas, on February 2, 1937. At an early age his family moved to Raymondville, TX where he grew up and attended school.
He served in the United States Air Force in Japan from 1954 to 1957. In 1963 he married Margarita Saldana of Lyford, TX in Raymondville. Thereafter, they settled in the city of South Houston, TX where they raised their family of four.
Jesus had a 37-year career working for Continental Airlines, previously known as Trans Texas Airlines, and then Texas International Airlines.
Jesus was an active member of St. Augustine Catholic Church for 50 years, serving most recently as eucharistic minister. He also served his community as a member of the South Houston Crime Prevention Committee and working as an election Judge/Clerk for Harris County.
Post-retirement brought lots of joy to Jesus where he could spend more time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed gardening, reuniting with work colleagues at special events and being "on call" for any needs of his family or community.
Jesus is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margarita Saldana Reyna of South Houston. His children are: daughter, Ilianna Reyna Kuntz and son-in-law Paul Vincent Kuntz and granddaughter Aria Rose Kuntz of Houston; daughter Martha Reyna-Rebelle and son-in-law Jules Levi Rebelle and grandson Thomas Levi Rebelle of Friendswood; sons Gerardo Rodrigo Reyna and Cesar Osvaldo Reyna of South Houston, his sister Celia Hernandez, and her daughters Sonya Flores, Gracelia Bobys, and Elvia Hernandez.

A rosary was recited by Deacon Hector Cantu at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Frwy, Webster, TX 77598 on Friday, January 26th at 6:30 PM. Visitation was held on Friday, January 26th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral mass was celebrated at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 5560 Laurel Creek Way, Houston, TX 77017 on Saturday, January 27th at 10:00 AM. Burial followed at Forest Park East Cemetery.
