Malcolm David Kraus, Sr. passed away in Katy, TX on August 6th at the age of 87.

Born to Linous and Nora Kraus on April 3, 1930 in Galveston, TX, Malcolm was the youngest of six children. He graduated from Galveston Ball High School in 1948 where he was quite the athlete. Shortly after high school, Malcolm joined the U.S. Air Force, where he served during the Korean War from 1951-1955. Malcolm David Kraus, Sr. passed away in Katy, TX on August 6th at the age of 87.

Born to Linous and Nora Kraus on April 3, 1930 in Galveston, TX, Malcolm was the youngest of six children. He graduated from Galveston Ball High School in 1948 where he was quite the athlete. Shortly after high school, Malcolm joined the U.S. Air Force, where he served during the Korean War from 1951-1955. After leaving the Air Force, he married the love of his life Lois Westmoreland Kraus. They were married in Galveston, TX on September 30, 1955, and remained married for the next 61 years until his passing.

He worked many years as a sales manager primarily for Falstaff Brewery, as well as other distributorships. He always loved telling jokes and visiting with family and friends. In retirement Malcolm and Lois enjoyed the outdoors which led them to travelling in an RV around the country for many years, meeting many friends along the way.

Malcolm is predeceased by his parents Linous and Nora Kraus, his siblings Linous Kraus, Norman Kraus, Wilmer Kraus, Sidney Kraus, and Marjorie Morales, and his grandson Christian Jones.

Malcolm is lovingly remembered and survived by his wife Lois Kraus, his children Janet Lundy, Malcolm Kraus, Jr. and wife Cathy, and James Kraus and wife Karen, grandchildren Stephen Jones, Ashlee Unger, Greg Kraus, Gary Kraus, Mallory Klaus, Lauren Paulson, seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ron Morales, Roy Morales, Robert Morales, Greg Kraus, Gary Kraus, and Bret Unger.

The funeral service will be held at Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX on August 10th at 10:00am. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
